I Workout...Do You?

Workout 5/28/13

Yesterday's workout at the PT clinic was intense. This workout was created by one of our lunch-hour workout partners. Let me just say this is a fat-burning, heart pumping, and sweat producing workout.

I also wanted to post about a workout we did last week-->Bob Harper's Cardio Conditioning DVD workout. This workout kicked my butt and I could barely walk for a few days. The workout is 1 hour but we only had time to complete 45 minutes during the lunch hour. BEWARE! This workout is intense!

And I also want to post Bob's Skinny Rules because in order to see total results you need both the workout and the healthy eating routine!

Smoothie Delight

So everyone at the PT clinic knows about my love of smoothies. I would take my little individual smoothie blender with me to my internship and have a smoothie for breakfast and lunch. It was the easiest and most healthy option on-the-go. I have done my research for smoothie recipes on Pinterest. I will post my favorite smoothies here as well as under my Bon Appetite page. What are your favorite smoothie recipes?

Berry Berry Good Smoothie

1 cup frozen organic berry mix from Sprout's
1 cup water
1/2 banana
1 scoop vanilla whey protein from Whole Foods
3 ice cubes

Strawberry & Cantaloupe Smoothie

1 cup cantalope
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup water
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
3 ice cubes

Pina Colada Dream

1 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 banana
1 cup coconut milk
1 scoop vanilla wheyprotein

5/20/13 Workout

At my current clinical internship we work out every day during lunch. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we play ultimate frisbee at the local football field. Talk about a great workout! The rest of the days consist of circuit training. We have done everything from Jillian Michaels workouts to P90X. Most of my workout routines come from Pinterest or http://www.youtube.com/user/popsugartvfit

I have always participated in spin classes, pilates, Bikram and power yoga. I have also tried the Les Mills BodyPump and BodyCombat classes. These classes are great for burning many calories and targeting large muscle groups in just a 1 hour class!

Curried Couscous with Apples

This is a recipe I upload to Pinterest from my Trader Joes College Cookbook I received for Christmas one year. This recipe was easy to make and tasted delicious. At the time I made this, I was on my vegan challenge as substituted vegetable broth from Sprout's in-place of the chicken broth.

Welcome-Willkommen-Accueil-Bienvenida

Welcome to my blog. I am a newbie to the blog world and thought it would be fun to start a blog, while I am doing my internships for PT school. Just to tell you a little bit about me, I am a 24 year old physical therapy student, native New Mexican, and a proud member of the sorority Delta Gamma. I am always interested in fashion, style, cooking, living healthy, and traveling. As I am getting ready to step out into the real world (I have been in higher education the last 6 years) and discover new things about what it is to become an independent adult, I thought it would be fun to document this new chapter in my life.
